| Headlining Tonight! Sarah Palin and Bill Brady Dear Aaron, Tea Partier Sarah Palin will be in Rosemont today for an Illinois GOP fundraiser. And Bill Brady, Republican nominee for governor, will be eagerly at her side. Palin's arrival couldn't come at a better time for Brady, who is looking for anything to distract Illinois voters from recent gaffes on the budget. Last Friday, Brady claimed that he never proposed a 10 percent across-the-board cut, and challenged reporters to "find it on tape." Click here to tell Bill Brady that we need real budget solutions in Illinois. When Chicago Tonight and Fox Chicago interviewed Brady on Monday night, both reporters asked him to provide details on his plan to close the budget gap. While Senator Brady continues to call for draconian cuts to our state budget, he again offered little in the way of specifics. More disturbing, for a candidate who touts his business credentials, he doesn't understand the fundamentals of the Illinois budget. Voters should be troubled by the fact that Bill Brady can't remember the proposals he has put forward within the past five months, let alone explain them to Illinois residents. Our state must make difficult decisions, and we need leaders who are trustworthy, competent and capable of articulating the best path forward. Illinois needs the steady leadership of Governor Quinn.
