Dear Aaron, Governor Pat Quinn invites you to join him, Governor Tim Kaine, and the entire statewide Democratic ticket at the Governor's Day Rally at the Illinois State Fair, Wednesday August 18. Governor Kaine is the current chair of the Democratic National Committee and the former Governor of Virginia. He will serve as keynote speaker at a rally where the Democratic ticket will share their plan for jobs and economic growth with voters from all across the state. Governor Quinn and Chairman Kaine will be joined by Democratic leaders and the entire Democratic statewide ticket, including: Senator Dick Durbin, Senate Candidate Alexi Giannoulias, Lieutenant Governor Nominee Sheila Simon, Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Secretary of State Jesse White, Representative David Miller, candidate for Comptroller, Robin Kelly, candidate for State Treasurer, Speaker Michael Madigan, and Senate President John Cullerton. State Representative John Bradley (D-117) will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The Director's Lawn will open at 12:00 PM, with the speakers program commencing at 1:00 pm. Free lunch and beverages will be provided to attendees. The rally is open to the public, and free with admission to the Illinois State Fair. Quinn/Simon for Illinois also has a number of free tickets to the State Fair for Wednesday, August 18th available to supporters who RSVP.
