What's Your Mission?
Aaron —
As we enter December, our nation looks back over a period of economic uncertainty. Many of us have experienced hardship in one form or another.
But there is one uniting belief that all of us, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, all share: we need jobs, and we need them now.
Less than a year ago, Governor Quinn entered office, in the middle of the worst recession since the Great Depression. He took charge of a state in crisis, and an unstable and unpredictable Illinois economy.
Since that day in January when he took the helm, Governor Quinn has made it his mission to restore jobs and growth to Illinois. From the beginning, the Governor understood that the best way to solve our problems was to create new jobs and invest in economic development.
It's the reason why he passed a multi-billion dollar capital plan to put Illinoisans back to work. It's the reason why his administration has captured over $6 billion from the federal stimulus bill, which created and preserved thousands of jobs. And it's the reason why Governor Quinn put out a new jobs plan before any other candidate.
Even as the fallout from years of irresponsibility worsened, Governor Quinn acted to attract sustainable jobs and industries to Illinois. Those jobs, like the ones Governor Quinn helped create at the new Wanxiang Solar Panel Plant in Rockford, will eventually serve as the bedrock of Illinois' economy.
Governor Quinn has helped to start the recovery process, and now we need your help to finish it. We need to hear from you, your family members, your friends, your neighbors, and anybody else whose story can help us to build a better economic future.

Thank you,
Quinn for Illinois
