Survey says...

Help shape Faithful America's work in the coming year!

Tell us what's important to you and a little about yourself.

Take our survey by February 12th to help us set our 2010 agenda!

Dear Supporter,

What do you think is the most pressing priority for our community in 2010?

Is it finally passing health care? Tackling climate change? Standing up to the religious right?

In 2009, your ideas and conviction were the driving force behind Faithful America's unique campaigns. And this year we want your input as we continue our work in 2010.

Will you take five minutes right now to share your thoughts and help shape Faithful America's upcoming campaigns?

Already your actions, emails and ideas have helped Faithful America create innovative campaigns. In 2009 you helped us launch efforts like 40 Days for Health Reform, a day of action to help reunite immigrant families, and DaySix.org -- an initiative to help people in developing nations who bear the brunt of climate change-related disasters.

We want your values and ideas to guide our next campaigns, too. Click here now to fill out our simple online survey by Friday, February 12th.

Thank you so much for your support. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank You!

Gov. Pat Quinn

Aaron --

We did it, and you deserve the credit.  Along with hundreds of thousands of people across Illinois, you went to the polls last Tuesday and sent a message to the political establishment by nominating Pat Quinn as the Democratic candidate for Governor.

You shocked the pundits and soothsayers who had counted us out by reminding them that the only poll that matters is the one at the ballot box.

But make no mistake – our work isn't done.  In the weeks and months ahead, we're going to need your help to bring our message of jobs and growth to Illinois and take on the relentless Republican spin machine.

Watch this video and then make a donation of $25 today to support the next phase of the campaign:

Pat Quinn is now the Democratic nominee, but we've got huge challenges ahead as we build our organization for the general election.

The national Republican Party is already gearing up its attack machine to make Illinois ground zero in the fight over the direction in which our state and country will head in the next four years.

We need to make sure that Illinois continues to have a governor who fights the big shots on behalf of everyday people, restoring integrity to state government and putting people back to work.

However, we can't fight this battle without you.  We're counting on your strong support to carry us through this election.

Thank you for everything you've done, and I'm excited to take this journey with you.

Thank You

Dear Friends,

This morning, our journey came to an end. It is not the outcome we wanted, but after all the votes have been counted, it is the undeniable outcome of democracy in action. The final result is achingly close, but it is definitive, and Governor Pat Quinn will be the Democratic nominee.

A little while ago, I called Governor Quinn to offer my congratulations and let him know he has my full support.

Today is bittersweet. Ours was a hard fought campaign with an underdog spirit, and we accomplished so much in the last five months. We brought attention to state's budget crisis and the need for greater fiscal responsibility. We fought for ethics reform and greater openness and accountability in government. We worked hard to improve education and public safety for everyone in Illinois.

I am so proud of you, my supporters, and I want to thank you for everything you did for this campaign.

Much of the attention our race received focused on inside baseball and the political back-and-forth that the pundits love – but that matters hardly at all to the people of Illinois. What you always knew, and the reason we came so close, was that our campaign was about the art of the possible. It was about taking stock of what we have in Illinois, and providing leadership focused on tomorrow – always driven by the notion that we can do better.  This was never a criticism of anyone, it was a guidepost.

In the end, we came agonizingly close. It is tempting at a time like this to run through different scenarios and wonder what we might have done differently to alter the outcome just enough. I'm sure I'll have a few of those moments myself. But know this: I am so incredibly proud of the campaign we ran and the spirit behind it, and, no matter how close the margin, I can say this: I would do it all over again! Most of all, I'd want to do this journey with you!

Thank you. Thank you for your time, thank you for your energy, thank you for your support, and thank you putting your faith in me to lead Illinois forward. It is a debt I will never be able to repay, and I am forever honored.

Sincerely,

Dan

Go Vote!

Logo

Dear Friends,

Every time we have asked you to do something, you have come through. Today, we need you to do one more thing:

GO VOTE!

Just four weeks ago, the pundits and polls had written us off. The Illinois political establishment was against us and was using all of its resources to try to defeat us. We didn't give up.

With your help, we closed a 26-point gap in the polls and are now in a dead heat going into today. You helped us spread Dan's message of fiscal responsibility and restoring fairness and decency to government. You helped us by contributing your time and money, campaigning door to door, and encouraging your friends and neighbors to support Dan Hynes.

We may have the momentum, but we're still fighting for every single vote. Newspapers are estimating very low turnout, and the early word on the street confirms the predictions. Truly, every vote will count!

These last few hours are crucial to achieving a historic victory in a primary that many thought we could never win. We can't finish this campaign without you. So please go out and cast your vote for Dan Hynes for governor.  If you don't know your polling location, please click here for more information.

Lastly, please stay tuned for information on a party at our Election Night headquarters. Thank you for everything you have done. Be sure to vote today!

Sincerely,

Mike Rendina

Shaking Up the Status Quo

Logo

Friends,

I began this campaign to restore fiscal responsibility to our state – to fix the years of reckless spending practices and excessive borrowing that have left our state with a $13 billion budget deficit and teetering near bankruptcy. I knew that we could, and must, do better.

I want a better future for my boys, Charlie, Finley, and Liam, and for all children in Illinois. I want to leave them with a better world than I inherited. I want them to live in a state full of opportunities and not saddled with billions of dollars of debt. And now, thanks to your help, we are close to achieving that future.

Over the last five months, we have shaken the Illinois political establishment to its very core, and people with a vested interest in the status quo are doing everything they can to prevent change from occurring. We have spread the message of fiscal responsibility and restoring people's faith in government and that message has reverberated throughout the state. But we can't stop now.

These last few hours are crucial to achieving a historic victory in a primary that many thought we could never win. I need your help to finish this campaign. I know that I can count on you in these final 24 hours. Please sign up to volunteer tomorrow or donate $10, $50, $100, or whatever you can so we can keep fighting through the final day of the primary.

Lastly, please remember to stop by and see me tonight at Fado's Irish Pub (100 West Grand, Chicago) at 8:30 PM for our final rally of the primary. Thank you for everything you have done. Be sure to vote tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Dan

VIDEO: My Closing Statement

Gov. Pat Quinn

Aaron--

A little more than a year ago, I stood beside a tree on the National Mall in Washington and watched proudly as Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States.

Nine days later, as our state faced some of the greatest challenges in our history, I was sworn in as Governor of Illinois.

Since then, I have worked with President Obama to achieve a new spirit of service and responsibility in our country, and to bring prosperity back to our state and our nation.

Join our fight for jobs, recovery, and reform, and sign up to help us tomorrow.

Watch Pats Closing Statement and Sign Up to Help

When President Obama announced his stimulus program, I cut through the red tape to get billions of dollars out the door and into the pockets of Illinois workers and businesses – making Illinois a national leader in putting stimulus funds to work.

When President Obama asked for my help in converting an unused Illinois facility into the safest federal prison in the nation so that he could keep his promise to close Guantanamo Bay, I told him Illinois would be proud to serve the national interest.  Soon, the new federal prison in Thomson will provide thousands of jobs, and $1 billion of economic activity, in an area of Illinois that desperately needs new investment.

Today, I am working with President Obama to create thousands of new jobs throughout Illinois – building new high-speed rail systems, investing in clean, green energy, and finding innovative ways to connect Illinois business with international markets.

Like President Obama, I believe in helping working families and protecting those in need. Every day, I fight for everyday people against the big shots and the special interests.

To continue our fight for Illinois families, I need your help.

Watch my closing statement, and then sign up to help us tomorrow:

Tomorrow, my opponent is counting on false, negative ads to win.  Me?  I'm counting on you.

Sincerely,

Pat Quinn
